One of my coworkers drives the courtesy shuttle for the dealership and recently bought a brand new black Malibu so that he can be an Uber driver on the weekends, and he asked me yesterday how difficult it would be to debadge it so it looks like the ones in the commercials. Dude’s my hero.

Still better than Toyota’s it’s “grounded to the ground”. From the front it doesn’t look like an Audi or anything, it looks like shit. The first time I saw one in person I was like who the fuck bought that monstrosity, that is ugly.

I’ve noticed that the Tacomas that are 2 years old with 30k on them are like a grand less than a brand new one. That never made any sense to me at all. It’s not like it’s a rare vehicle, or they stopped production, why not get a brand new one for almost the same price as a used one, it makes 0 sense to me.

I work with a guy who buys new ones and sells them a few years later to people who just come up to him and offer cash for them. Last time around he got $19k for his 5 year old PreRunner with 90,000 miles that he paid around $26k for new after incentives from a cold call - he didn’t even have a for sale sign on it or anything. Replaced it with another new PreRunner in a different color.
